Jeff has been illustrating and designing professionally since the early 90's, but for as long as he can remember, he has held a fascination for the fantasy and science fiction genre. With more than 15 years of commercial illustration and design experience behind him, Jeff has recently ventured into virtual world building and avatar design. He brings rich textures to his artwork using the computer to create "imaginary snapshots". His influences include science (fiction) art and literature, film, computer games, fantasy games, television, and virtual worlds.

As a small child, Jeff spent a great deal of time exploring his grandfathers basement, a huge cluttered room packed from floor to ceiling with home made telescopes, radios, artifacts, and other strange electromechanical gizmos. As time passed, Jeff came to realize that the fascination with this Jules Vern like environment was part of a broader interest in science, technology, fantasy, and story telling. Having a free imagination and an aptitude for all of the above, Jeff gave careful consideration as to how all these interests could be combined. Jeff soon discovered he had a real talent for expressing his ideas in images using pencil and paper, and ultimately on the computer.

Jeff went on to earn his BS in illustration from San Jose State University, and plunged vigorously into the world of illustration and design with the help of contacts and friends made during his college years. He continues to learn much through collaborative work with other artists. Recently, on the Atlantic side of the continent, Jeff has had the opportunity to do design work with friends and fellow artists from many diverse backgrounds as well as continue working with West Coast clients on fantasy illustration and various design projects. In his remaining free time Jeff enjoys his family, attends museums, Sci-Fi conventions, works on promotional illustrations, goes mountain biking, and plays a mean game of billiards.
